About Us
Based in Goodwood, Cape Town we are manufacturers of Portable Rocket stoves, Flat-pack Firepits, and selected braai / barbecue equipment.
Fire Pits and rocket stoves are manufactured with 3mm thick steel, so,yes, they are heavy, but this ensures that the products are durable.
All our products can be couriered nation-wide to all major centres in SA, or collected at our premises at 183 De Villiers Street Goodwood.
Call or Whatsapp on 076 545 8394 if collecting to ensure we have stock, payable in cash. If paid via EFT to our bank account, goods can only be handed over once the funds reflect in our banking account.
Our produces are spray-painted with Rustoleum Heat Resistant paint rated at 1200 degreesF.
However, please note that, in areas which are in contact with heat, the paint WILL eventually fail. This is not due to material or paint fault, the reason is that as metal expands and contracts as it is heated and cooled, this expansion and contraction causes fine cracks in the paint coating, which will in time lead to rust areas once moisture creeps in.
The treatment for this is to spray with heat resistant paint as the need arises, alternatively, spray / wipe cooking oil over the affected areas . On the next occasion you make a fire, the heated oil, especially if done regularly, will seal the steel.
Much the same as the way that cast iron pots and pans , potjies, are treated, which, if left untreated as above will also rust.
All barbecue equipment in direct contact with high heat will eventually dis-colour and not look as it did when brand new, however, one can take the above steps to ensure the product will not rust and last for many years.
